Board of Supervisors meetings are held in the Essex County and School Board Office
Complex in the Board Meeting Room on Cross Street, North, in Tappahannock.
Second Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in January, February, April, May, July, August, & October
Second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in March, June, September, and December.
Third Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in November.

Essex County Planning Commission meetings are held the third Tuesday
of each month at 7:30 p.m., same location, as above, when needed.
When no action is required, the Planning Commission does not meet.

"Prue" Davis at the Omni Hotel in Richmond at the conclusion of the Virginia Association of Counties / Virginia Municipal League legislative Day at the Capitol. Delegate Albert L. Pollard, Jr., also attended the dinner along with Mrs. Davis and various other County officials. Delegates and officials reviewed issues before the 2004 General Assembly, including tax reform and other matters of local interest.
